Just in case you didn’t see my comment on the earlier post:
Brian is having the server delivered to his father’s office in NY. So the odds are that someone will be there when UPS arrives (unless UPS shows up at an odd hour). Given that the delivery is within the NYC area, it would be surprising if it took more then a day or two to arrive.
Once he has the server, he has to unpack it, hook it up, find something called free time, and figure out what the heck went wrong. So don’t expect an immediate answer a few hours after it arrives…but hopefully we will have some news coming your way by the end of the weekend.

Free time?
What is this thing you call free time? O have no time for free time! However, I do have a hole in schedule. Well, it’s not really a hole; it’s more like reserved time that is currently unused. I am a CSFBL junkie, and I will NOT reschedule that time for anything else…until CSBB comes along…

I had heard that Brian’s dad actually invented computers, RAID, and the internet. Brian had the server shipped to him so he could lay hands on it and HEAL it !!!!!

Yeah, I am the same way Runs…I’ve been a hardcore addict for awhile now. But a data crash would spell the end of it for me too. Probably for a lot of people.

I hear ya….I’m going stir crazy over here. My bosses keep thanking me for all the work I’ve been able to get done over the last week or so.
I went over to my brother-in-law’s house for the Super Bowl. I got him addicted to CSFBL several years ago. As I was leaving I said “Oh, by the way…how have you been without CSFBL?” He said “I haven’t checked my teams in like 3 weeks. My favorite player Al Something retired and I my team sucks now and I haven’t been back. I should go check on them tomorrow.”
I was like “Umm….the site has been down for like 3 weeks. Server crashed. ” He just laughed and said “Didn’t even notice. Let me know when it comes back up.”

I shipped it to my father’s office because it is shared office space; as such people are there all day. It’s the same office I used to have (my dad and I shared the office when I was doing consulting work for the past two years).
The ISP didn’t give me a tracking number so I’ll call them and the office tomorrow to see if it arrived.

You guys should put this disclaimer actually into the game, Good news for me, I may get a raise out of all of this, since I have nothing to do at work now but work, hopefully this will be back up and into action shortly after I get the raise.
